Cat Food in Bangladesh
Cat food is the single biggest thing you control in your cat's health, and in Bangladesh the hard part is not choice — it is trusting what is in the bag. Everything listed here is sourced through authorised importers, checked for batch and expiry by our vet team before it goes on the shelf, and stored away from the heat and humidity that quietly ruin kibble in Dhaka.
You will find dry food for everyday feeding, wet pouches and cans for hydration and fussy eaters, and stage-specific formulas for kittens, adults and indoor cats. Prices start around ৳85 for a small pack or single pouch and run up to bulk 7–20 kg bags for multi-cat homes, where the per-kilo cost drops sharply.

Cat Food buying guide
Start with life stage, not brand. Kittens under 12 months need higher protein and fat plus DHA; adults need controlled calories, and indoor cats benefit from added fibre for hairball control. Feeding an adult formula to a kitten is the most common mistake we see.
Read the first three ingredients. A named animal protein — chicken, tuna, salmon, lamb — in first position is what you want. Cats are obligate carnivores: taurine must be listed, and heavy corn or wheat fillers up front usually mean a cheaper, less digestible bag.
Mix dry and wet. Cats drink poorly and dry-only diets are linked to urinary problems, especially in male cats. Even one pouch or half a can a day meaningfully raises water intake. If your cat has had a urinary episode, ask us about urinary-support formulas before switching.
Buy a bag size you can finish in 4–6 weeks. In Bangladeshi humidity, opened kibble turns rancid faster than the printed expiry suggests. A 1.2 kg bag finished fresh beats a 7 kg bag that goes stale — unless you have three or more cats or can seal and store it properly.
Transition over 7 days. Mix 25% new food for two days, then 50%, then 75%, then full. Sudden switches cause diarrhoea and get blamed on the food when the pace was the real problem.
